Our story

From ten businesses to a growing community

SturdyWings began in 2018 with a simple goal: help young people become self-reliant. In our first year we trained and empowered youths to set up 10 businesses. The next year, that number doubled.

Today our team of facilitators and mentors works with individuals and organizations across Nigeria and the UK. Alongside our programs, we run a free school and free medical outreaches, because the people we build are meant to give back.

2018
Foundation year
We began training and empowering young people, helping set up 10 businesses and making their founders self-reliant.
2019
Expansion
We doubled our reach, supporting young people to set up 20 businesses through training and mentorship.
2020 onwards
Community impact
Alongside our programs, we started a free school and free medical outreaches that continue to this day.
